Call it a mini culinary school for anyone to sign up and drop in.

The cooking classes at Eataly Dallas are not only fun and engaging, but they’re paired for perfection with fun bites and authentic Italian wines to taste throughout what is truly a unique learning experience.

A delightful way to wind down after a long day in the office or a great weekend date night – an abundance of classes are available for any palate. Enjoy a new line of classes designed to celebrate the new exclusive Eataly Pasta collection, a first for the famed Italian store and restaurant with stores in only seven U.S. cities that are among only 40 locations throughout the world. The Dallas location at NorthPark Center is the only Eataly  in Texas – and really the only Eataly storefront that’s truly in the South.

Most of the cooking classes are located in La Scuola di Eataly, located near the salumi and formaggi fridges, next to the butcher counter. If you’ve never been to Eataly, it’s a great speciality store, boasting thousands of authentic Italian products – everything from Italian pantry products, oils, vinegar, sweets, and more. The concept surrounds founder Oscar Farinetti’s idea of a having an “informal, natural, and simple place to eat, shop, and learn.”

You’ll typically start out with a delicious Antipasti appetizer full of meats and delicious cheeses and 10-year sourdough bread. Chef and his assistants will teach about different cheeses from Italy along with the paired beverages – one sparkling, one white and one red. For our class, we had Chef Calvin Ibarra.

Learning to make the cavatelli al ragu is fun – and with tasty end results. The curved edges of the cavatelli are great for holding sauces. Crafting fresh cavatelli pasta is more of an enjoyable art than some would expect, and you get to take home your very own box of freshly made pasta, along with recipe cards for future use.
