Crista Bailey is empowering people and changing their world perspective through one-of-a-kind hideaways and luxurious travel experiences.
Bailey joined Austin-based Hideaway Report, a curated travel website, in 2017 to reboot their brand. She brought her experience and leadership skills to Hideaway Report’s helm making the 40-year-old print-centric luxury travel publication accessible to all types of travelers. With the addition of Hideaway Report’s digital publication, Bailey is turning a younger, more digitally-savvy audience on to the world of travel.
The self-confessed travel fiend, Bailey is no stranger to business development and marketing. After graduating from Vanderbilt University, she spent her burgeoning career on the West Coast working with startups, lifestyle offerings and agencies, including IAC, J. Walter Thompson, Lollapalooza and TicketMaster.
In 2005, Bailey’s southern roots brought her back to Texas where she worked with Austin City Limits, C3 Presents and TextureMedia, which has the largest consumer platform in hair care. While CEO, Bailey’s team significantly contributed to TextureMedia’s growth as a global authority of hair care.
At Hideaway Report, Bailey is building a community platform to give members a louder voice by cementing the company as a thought leader in travel.
Bailey is not only a fan of all things travel but is equally passionate about Mother Nature, free press, empathy, honesty and, of course, Willie Nelson.

Reusable Water Container
I refill in airports and at hotels. It stays with me during travels; keeping me mindfully hydrated and away from plastic water bottles.
Magazines
I use plane-time to catch up on everything from design to business articles to The New York Times reading and puzzles and of course — the Hideaway Report. (But I’m usually caught up on that one!)
Eminence Face Lotion
I love the Bright Skin Moisturizer for day and Stone Crop Whip Moisturizer at night and do not leave home without them. They’re organic, lovely-smelling, smooth and silky gifts to my skin.
Apple AirPods
How did I ever live without these? Even though I can’t use Bluetooth earbuds on the plane, they are indispensable when I’m on the ground. They’re so tiny. I can’t believe I haven’t lost them. I personalize them with a sticker.
Running Shoes
I make it a point to run, walk or find a gym while on the road.
BC Powder
For immediate headache relief. A secret remedy learned growing up in Georgia.
