With San Antonio’s bustling culinary scene, hotel dining doesn’t always stand out. But Corinne San Antonio combines elevated flavor and a relaxed experience that makes you feel like you’re right at home – and it’s sure to please locals and visitors alike.
Tucked inside the newly renovated – and renamed – Plaza San Antonio Hotel & Spa, Corinne San Antonio offers a relaxed, low-key atmosphere. But don’t be fooled – there’s absolutely nothing low-key about the flavors you’ll enjoy. From the cocktails to the desserts, everything is top-notch.
Corinne and its sister Anaqua Garden Bar feature a modern, comfortable design and a refreshing menu that offers a new take on San Antonio dining – and a new spot to gather with friends to enjoy what they call “honest food + drink”.
That description is thanks to a modern twist on classic Southern dishes, resulting in a menu that is both innovative and comforting. Featuring classic American food with South Texas and Gulf Coast influences, the menu is familiar but surprising – and the ingredients are all carefully sourced, including beef grown especially for Corinne.
Start your culinary journey with Corinne’s appetizers, where each bite is a symphony of flavors. Indulge in the grilled oysters, topped with a chorizo butter, cotija and lime, or the crab tostada with salsa verde, onion, lime and arugula for a South Texas explosion of flavor. And don’t miss the Navajo fry bread with whipped brown butter and spiced agave, a nod to Native American and South Texas flavors.
The concept of uncomplicated food, prepared simply, allows each of the flavors to stand out. The menu features items including green pozole with roasted chicken and a Kampachi filet, as well as chile glazed organic half chicken and a spicy shrimp pasta with flavors that are truly South Texas. The Longbone pork ribeye is another nod to South Texas that is sure to please.
In a city with no shortage of fantastic steak options, Corinne’s Rosewood Ranch Wagyu Ribeye – with red chile truffle butter and crispy potatoes – truly stands out. The beef is melt-in-your-mouth tender and cooked to perfection. But be sure to introduce yourself to Texas Oscar: filet mignon topped with brown butter crawfish tails nestled on a bed of blistered asparagus in hollandaise.
And all those flavors can be paired with cocktails, mocktails – or beer, wine and spirits from an extensive list. Try “Signature in Old San Antonio” for notes of vanilla and black walnut paired with Elijah Craig Small Batch bourbon, or a refreshing “Lavender in 1888” – Empress gin, vanilla, cream, egg white and fresh citrus. Corinne features an extensive cocktail and mocktail program alongside beer and wine.
Fantastic food and fabulous drinks, all overlooking a reimagined garden oasis? Yes, please! And Corinne serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, making it a spot to meet friends any time.
And of course, you can enjoy Anaqua before or after your meal. Named after the property’s historic 42-foot tall Anaqua tree, the bar overlooks the hotel’s outdoor pool and is surrounded by greenery, creating a Zen oasis perfect for “Harmony Hour”. Guests can bask in the beauty of the lush greenery year round on Anaqua’s outdoor patio, beautifully lit by hanging lanterns hanging amongst the trees, or retreat to the heated covered patio. Inventive botanical-forward cocktails shape the beverage menu and elevate the distinctive flavor profiles.
Corinne San Antonio is open seven days a week for breakfast and lunch, Monday through Friday, with brunch available on the weekend. Happy hour is 4 – 6 p.m. daily in the bar and on the patio, with dinner served 5 – 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Self-parking is not available. Valet parking is $15 for three hours.
