Maddy Lee Ann is an American actress and country music singer/songwriter.
She was born in Columbus, Ohio, and moved to Florida when she was 11 years old. Her connection to Texas is through family. She began her acting and modeling career at the age of 14. Maddy has been in numerous short films and feature films. Recently she was in the feature film “Do you Remember” and also the feature film “Always a Winner.”
Can you tell us about your journey into becoming a singer/songwriter and actor?
I started acting when I was 14 years old and started singing when I was 18. I was on a music web series that sparked my interest in music. My grandfather on my mom’s side is from Texas. He loved living in Texas and visited often. Most of my family in Texas live in Houston or Brenham.
What inspires your music and acting performances?
Life – the things that I have seen or things that have happened to me. We all have a story to tell.
How do you balance your time between recording music and acting roles?
I am constantly writing songs or parts of songs so when acting is slow I focus on studio time and recording new music.
What has been the most challenging aspect of being a multi-talented artist?
I think everything comes with its own set of challenges. I think it is most important to have time management and a good support team.
What is one fun fact most people don’t know about you?
A fun fact people don’t know about me is I want a pet bird and I want to live by the ocean.
How do you handle criticism and feedback in the entertainment industry?
I have learned to ignore any negativity. For every one negative comment I know there are a lot more positive ones.
What are your goals and aspirations as an artist in the next few years?
My goals and aspirations this year as an artist are to really brand myself on social media while connecting with all age groups. Another goal is to put myself out there more without the fear of judgment of others.
What does Maddy Lee Ann like to do in her spare time?
I like to go line dancing in my spare time. I also make time to write about my day and hang out with friends.
How do you connect with your audience during live performances?
I think connecting with your audience is super important. I connect with people with my lyrics, and I also like to meet the many people who come out to support me in person.
Can you share any upcoming projects or collaborations that your fans can look forward to?
Something fans can look forward to hearing from me is a new country song that tells the story of a Christian girl struggling with worldly desires. It will be released this year.
