Just beyond the tinsel and twine, the Blue Man Group is bringing the energy just after Christmas. This unique, highly interactive show will be unlike anything you’ve ever seen before, and will be an outing you will never forget. There will be five shows that will run from December 26 – 27 at the Long Center, and tickets will start at $33.

The Blue Man Group began with three friends, Matt Goldman, Phil Stanton, and Chris Wink, who came together nearly 25 years ago to create one of the most unique musical acts the world has ever seen. Now, their small troupe of three has grown to 35 Blue Men in the US. They’re famous, not only for their eyebrow raising outfits consisting of baldness and blue skin, but also for their dynamic combination of music, comedy and technology.

Every show they perform is full of vigor and energy; the New York Times described it as “radical in a way, testing the limits of commercial entertainment with a kind of high-tech vaudeville featuring video, percussion and stupid human tricks like catching a flurry of tossed marshmallows in the mouth.” There’s not a bad review to be found about it!

If you can’t catch the show in Austin, don’t worry, the group will be performing in Houston and Fort Worth soon after. Take a peek at their schedule here.
