Houston’s signature art festival is back!
On Saturday and Sunday, October 9-10, 2021, 10 am–6pm, Bayou City Art Festival Downtown will showcase the works of more than 220 artists in 19 different categories. As one of the top art festivals in the country, the festival benefits local nonprofits and features something for everyone. And, now is the time to buy your tickets, as the price goes up September 24th!
Patrons can take a walk through Sam Houston Park and along Allen Parkway to meet the artists, view original works, and purchase one-of-a-kind art, prints, jewelry, sculptures, functional art and more at all price levels. This year’s featured artist is McKenzie Fisk, a painter from Los Angeles. Using geometric shapes along with bright colors, Fisk paints both children and animals in relatable moments as they experience life with new eyes.
In addition to the art, guests can view Houston’s skyline while enjoying the festival’s wine garden, craft beer garden and Art Bar. Guests will also enjoy live music, a food truck park, beverage stations throughout the festival along with two entertainment stages and art installations. In the Active Imagination Zone, the festival’s nonprofit partners will host hands-on art activities for all ages.
For the ultimate art lover, Bayou City Art Festival will offer a VIP Hospitality Lounge presented by Frost Bank. The VIP experience will include a tented oasis with light bites, and complimentary beer, wine and other beverages. The relaxing setting under a canopy of trees will feature roaming musicians, artistic décor, a phone charging station and more. Tickets to the VIP Hospitality Lounge are limited and VIPs will receive all-day access to the VIP area, along with VIP parking.
A portion of the proceeds from Bayou City Art Festival Downtown will benefit the festival’s nonprofit partners including Artists For Artists, Fresh Arts, Give Us Paws, Orange Show For Visionary Art, ARTreach, and The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
Online early bird tickets are now available for $15. Tickets increase to $18 after September 24. Child admission tickets (age 6-12) are $5 and children under five are free. VIP Hospitality Lounge tickets are $60. Online pre-purchased tickets are required to enter the festival. Tickets will not be sold at the gate and can only be purchased online.
