From whiskey tastings and Western heritage to Halloween thrills, live music, and culinary festivals, discover the North Texas events worth adding to your fall calendar.

TX Whiskey, the largest whiskey distillery west of the Mississippi, welcomes fall with a celebration of the stars. Kicking off with a Solar Gazing on Friday, Sept. 11, guests can witness just how big and bright the stars are deep in the heart of Texas with a relaxed evening featuring TX Whiskey cocktails and a guided viewing with the Fort Worth Astronomical Society.

The month continues with Hispanic Heritage Day on Saturday, Sept. 19, featuring cultural experiences, a limited-edition bottle release, and bilingual distillery tours. Then experience why TX Whiskey Ranch has become a premier Fort Worth destination with their Country Dance Lessons on Wednesday, Sept. 23, followed by the Hometown Tailgate on Saturday, Sept. 26, with live music, football on the big screen, food trucks, signature cocktails, and more.

The Chisholm Trail is synonymous with Texas history and culture, birthing much of what we’ve come to love and enjoy about the Lone Star State. Come celebrate Texas music, Western heritage, and family fun with The Chisholm Trail Outdoor Museum’s inaugural Sand & Saddles Music Fest & Trail Ride from Sept. 17–20. The four-day event will feature live Texas country music, trail rides, living history demonstrations, camping, food, vendors, and activities for all ages, with proceeds supporting preservation and expansion of the historic museum.

Set on the original 1854 settlement of Wardville, the museum offers more than 10 acres of authentic Chisholm Trail history. Journey through an 1800s Texas town complete with the oldest log courthouse in Texas, a stagecoach station, blacksmith shop, schoolhouse, sheriff’s office and jail, Native American exhibits, cattle-drive displays, artifacts, and guided tours.

Paws & Pearls: A Roaring 20 Year Celebration

Patriot PAWS turns 20 this year, marking a two-decade milestone transforming lives through Service Dogs for Veterans. Come celebrate with a Roaring Twenties-themed Paws & Pearls Gala on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 7-10 p.m. at Edison’s in Dallas. The elegant evening will celebrate twenty years of providing highly trained Service Dogs at no cost to Veterans while recognizing the supporters and community members who help advance the nonprofit’s mission.

Guests can expect an Art Deco-inspired night of dinner, dancing, live entertainment by Emerald City Band, inspiring stories, and a silent auction benefiting Patriot PAWS’ continued work. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities range from $250 to $2,500, with proceeds supporting the training and placement of Service Dogs for Veterans at no cost.

Turtle Creek Chorale’s 9/11 Tribute

It has been twenty-five years since 9/11, a day that changed the course of history not only for the U.S. but the world. On Sept. 16, The Turtle Creek Chorale will present a one-night-only performance at the Meyerson Symphony Center commemorating the 25th anniversary.

The concert will bring together more than 300 performers across music and visual mediums to explore grief, remembrance, and the hope of peace through emotional storytelling. Buy your tickets and unite for an evening of remembrance and reflection.

Starting Sept. 4, The BooMont Hotel returns to haunt the Galleria Dallas, bringing one of North Texas’ favorite family-friendly Halloween experiences back for its second season. Set inside an elaborate 45-minute escape room-style walkthrough, the immersive experience invites thrill-seekers of all ages to uncover a mystery that has been 100 years in the making. Take the journey through the hotel’s ghostly past filled with unexpecting twists and turns, including a haunted mirror maze, ghoul pool, and a master key scavenger hunt with 13 stops throughout the attraction—all without ever leaving the mall.

On Nov. 7 and 8, Chefs for Farmers makes its Dallas return, celebrating more than 15 years of bringing the city’s food and beverage community together. The two-day festival will spotlight more than 80 Dallas-area restaurants, pairing standout chefs with locally sourced provisions for a flavorful showcase of the region’s culinary talent.
