Plan your month with the best April 2026 Texas concerts—from George Strait and Stevie Nicks to Bruce Springsteen, plus must-see country, rock, and live music events across Austin, Lubbock, and beyond.
April in Texas always finds that perfect balance. The weather finally settles in, patios fill up, and the live music calendar starts stacking up fast enough that picking a show on any given night feels like a challenge in the best way. From arena legends making rare stops to Texas artists covering ground across the state, April 2026 is shaping up to be one of those months where it’s worth keeping your schedule loose.
George Strait

There are concerts, and then there are full-on events. April leans heavily into the latter, starting with George Strait, who’s essentially turning the month into his own Texas residency. He opens with two nights at Moody Center on April 9 and 11 before heading west for a pair of stadium shows in Lubbock on April 24 and 25. With a lineup that includes Miranda Lambert on one of the nights, the Lubbock run carries that rare, once-in-a-while energy that Strait shows have these days. He’s not out on the road constantly doing traditional shows, but plays at select stadiums, which makes every Texas date feel like something you don’t want to miss. If you miss George in Austin during April, don’t worry he will be coming back in May for two shows, get your tickets now because his shows are sure to sell out.
The Moody Center hosts another iconic return when Stevie Nicks comes through Austin. Few artists bring the kind of presence she does, and in an arena setting, the show takes on a different kind of atmosphere. It leans into storytelling as much as the music, with a catalog that still lands just as strong as ever.
Bruce Springsteen

Later in the month, Bruce Springsteen rolls into town for an April 26 stop at Moody Center with the “Land of Hopes and Dreams” tour. A Springsteen show is never just a concert. It’s part storytelling, part marathon set, and part reminder of why live music still hits the way it does. Seeing it unfold in a room like Moody is about as good as it gets. Joining the Boss on this tour will be Rage Against the Machine’s guitarist, Tom Morello.
Bailey Zimmerman

Once you move past the headliners, April really starts to fill in. Bailey Zimmerman continues his fast rise with a run of Texas dates, including stops in Fort Worth and Corpus Christi. His mix of radio-ready hooks and a high-energy live show has quickly turned him into one of country’s most talked-about names.
Giovannie and the Hired Guns

Giovannie and the Hired Guns keep things closer to home with Central Texas shows, including a night at Haute Spot on April 10 and a stop in Brownwood the following night. Their sound, somewhere between alt-rock, Red Dirt country, and a little bit of everything in between, feels built for spring nights when the crowd spills outside and the volume creeps up.
There’s also no shortage of legends still doing it at a high level. ZZ Top return to the road with two nights at the Majestic Theatre, bringing that blues-rock sound that somehow feels just as sharp now as it did decades ago.
For something a little more up close, the Toadies hit Buck’s Backyard on April 16. It’s the kind of setting that makes a show feel personal, where songs like “Possum Kingdom” land with a little more edge under the open sky. The Toadies will also make other stops in Cypress and Ft Worth in April.
Flatland Cavalry

On the Texas country and Americana side, Flatland Cavalry return to familiar territory with a show in Canyon at the end of the month, bringing the kind of songwriting that’s built a loyal following across the state. Around the same time, Waylon Wyatt who continues to build momentum with a stop at Gruene Hall before heading north for Dallas’ Lonestar Smokeout.
Waylon Wyatt

Put it all together, and April doesn’t leave much room for downtime. Whether you’re planning around a stadium show, grabbing last-minute tickets to an arena night, or just seeing where the road takes you on a Friday, this is one of those months that reminds you why Texas stays one of the best places in the country to catch live music.
