#1 Ty Myers

Dripping Springs, Texas native Ty Myers has had an explosive year. His debut album The Select skyrocketed on the country music charts. At only 17 years old, his singing-songwriting talents are beyond his years. Rising to fame on TikTok, Ty has proven that he is a star to watch.

Starting and ending his tour in Texas, Ty will be performing at Gruene Hall on February 1 in New Braunfels, TX. He will be back in Texas at the end of the month performing in Stephenville, TX at Twisted J Live. His tour is almost sold out, so act fast.

#2 Lauren Mayberry

Lauren Mayberry, the frontwoman for acclaimed electro-pop band CHVRCHES, released her debut solo album Vicious Creature last month via Island Records (DLs available upon request). This winter, she will tour in support of the album. She’ll make a stop in Austin on February 26 at Emo’s. Wanted to begin chatting coverage around the date!

The new album, which the New York Times calls “an ambitious and emotional pop odysseyis both a startling new era in Mayberry’s artistry and the culmination of two decades of life in a band that came before. Across its songs, she writes about sexuality and empowerment from a profoundly personal perspective for the very first time, reconnecting with the icons of her youth – Tori Amos, Fiona Apple, PJ Harvey, and Kathleen Hanna as well as ‘90s British girl groups such as All Saints and Sugababes, whose music made a formative impact on her in the 2000s.

#3 Jordana

Jordana arrived on the music scene with 2020’s Classical Notions of Happiness, an album of lo-fi pop and hushed folk songs recorded in her Maryland & Kansas bedrooms. She’d be back by the end of that same year with Something To Say To You, a compilation of two EPs featuring craggy indie rock and brokenhearted acoustic fare recorded in NYC apartment studios with friends. By 2022 she was swinging for the fences with the pristine pop of Face The Wall, all while shuttling back and forth between Brooklyn and her soon-to-be home of Eagle Rock, LA collaborating on a wide array of projects with a who’s who of Gen Z artists: Magdalena Bay, TV Girl, Yot Club, Paul Cherry, Dent May, Inner Wave.

Though the concept of eras is exhaustingly omnipresent at the moment, Jordana has drawn definitive lines between her projects and musical phases over the past few years, releasing albums that have spanned lo-fi to pristine pop, craggy indie rock, hushed folk, and more. “I don’t think I’ll ever settle on a specific sound,” says Jordana. “I’m just a chameleon.” Every Jordana record promises the unexpected, and this one is no different, as it finds her entering new territory: yacht rock-ing through Laurel Canyon.

#4 West 22nd

Austin-based indie-rock group West 22nd is set to release their highly anticipated new single “Laugh It Off” on Friday, February 7, marking the first track off their debut full-length album Nowhere To Be, due in April. The band, known for their high-energy live shows and catchy, heartfelt music, will follow the album release with a U.S. tour in May and June.

Formed in 2022 at the University of Texas, West 22nd has quickly risen to national recognition, playing 100+ shows and counting, and gaining over 3.3 million streams with hits like “Sunburns” and tracks from their debut EP All The Way Home (2023). Their sound blends indie-pop and rock influences, self-proclaimed as “carousel rock,” with the band’s new single, “Laugh It Off,” embodying their signature blend of bittersweet emotion and infectious energy.
