Lucky Dallas, San Antonio and Houston!

Those were the three Texas cities with stops on Khalid’s arena world tour. Celebrating his chart-topping “Free Spirit” album, the tour takes the on-fire 21-year-old singer across the U.S. and Canada before heading through Europe to Australia and New Zealand.

We caught up with this still humble, artistic Texas transplant (an Army brat, his family moved to El Paso when he was in high school) at the American Airlines Center in Dallas July 14. Here are some of our favorite shots from an emotional night where both performer and audience shared an unforgettable experience.

For a month this spring, right after he released his second album “Free Spirit,” Texas artist Khalid Robinson held the No. 1 spot on Spotify.
