Wade Bowen, a native of Central Texas, is celebrating the 20th anniversary of his musical gathering, known as Bowen MusicFest, this coming weekend at McLane Stadium in Waco, TX. Like other music festivals, the lineup is a who’s who of artists that are relevant to the tastes of its host city (Midland, REO Speedwagon, Jason Eady, Randy Rogers, Ray Wylie Hubbard and more), will have plentiful sun, food and beverage on the festival grounds and will be a gathering to remember. Unlike most music festivals, Bowen MusicFest does not have profit as its main motivator. Rather, the fest is an attempt by the Bowen Family Foundation to use Wade’s significant country music influence to gather friends and fans to power an effort to help children and families in the Waco and Central Texas area.

Past beneficiaries of proceeds from Bowen MusicFest have included: March of Dimes in Waco, City of West Disaster Relief, CASA of McLennan & Hill Counties, Advocacy Center for Crime Victims and Children, AVANCE, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Waco.

For twenty years now, these efforts have done so much good that we’re excited to bring you coverage from the fest, and we’re able to give attendees and those unable to attend, alike, a chance to peruse the online silent auction items, with bidding already active, and with your chance to win:

With so much dedicated to a good cause, there are a lot of reasons to bid and even more reasons to be at the Bowen MusicFest or just follow Texas Lifestyle’s coverage online!
