This Friday and Saturday, The Children’s Ballet of San Antonio (CBSA) invites families, music lovers, and dreamers of all ages to experience The Little Mermaid — a breathtaking underwater ballet that’s making waves at the iconic Majestic Theatre in downtown San Antonio.

  • Friday, May 16 at 7 PM

  • Saturday, May 17 at 2 PM & 7 PM

A Spectacular Journey Under the Sea

Audiences will feel fully immersed “under the sea” thanks to captivating sets. More than just a ballet, The Little Mermaid is a fully immersive, Broadway-style production that blends exquisite classical choreography with dazzling special effects. Audiences will be transported into Ariel’s aquatic world, complete with glowing sea creatures, mesmerizing visuals, a real onstage pool, and gravity-defying aerial acrobats who appear to swim through the air. Audience members are invited to sing along and be a “part of their world” as live musicians and singers perform renditions of hit songs from the animated classic. The fast-paced, unforgettable adventure is perfect for kids and kids at heart.

World-Class Talent in San Antonio

This magical production features nearly 200 of San Antonio’s top young performers, handpicked for their excellence in dance, voice, acting, and acrobatics. They’ll share the stage with internationally acclaimed principal dancers Nurlan Kinerbayev (Kazakhstan) and Aliaksandra Krukava (Russian National Ballet), bringing global talent to the local stage. For the Saturday night finale, San Antonio’s rising star Sophia Leune will take center stage — proof that the city’s arts scene is brimming with future greats.

A Fun Family Experience

The fun starts early with a pre-show market, mermaid-themed merchandise, face painting, and photo ops with the cast. Little ones are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite sea-worthy attire, mermaid tails, or princess gowns!
