If you grew up in the ’90s with alternative rock on repeat, Better Than Ezra was probably part of your soundtrack. On Feb. 20, the New Orleans born band brings their catalog of feel-good, sing-along hits to Haute Spot in Cedar Park. Songs like Good,” “Desperately Wanting,” and In the Blood still hit just as hard live, and more than 30 years in, the band continues to prove they’re far more than a nostalgic act with energetic, crowd-friendly performances.

Haute Spot’s laid-back outdoor setting complete with full menu, full bars, and great sightlines makes it an ideal place to spend the night. Whether you’re reliving your ’90s playlist or just looking for a solid live show, Better Than Ezra at Haute Spot is shaping up to be a fun, easygoing night of live music in Cedar Park.

Boston’s own Dropkick Murphys are bringing their high-energy, Celtic-infused punk rock to Dallas, Houston, and Austin this February as part of their For The People…In The Pit St Patrick’s Day tour. Known for crowd anthems like I’m Shipping Up to Boston,” the band continues to blend gritty punk attitude with raucous sing-alongs and working-class spirit that’s made them beloved by fans worldwide. They kick off the Texas run at House of Blues Dallas on Feb. 17, roll through House of Blues Houston on Feb. 18, and hit ACL Live at The Moody Theater in Austin on Feb. 19 with support from The Aggrolites and Haywire, promising three nights of sweat-soaked energy and unfiltered fun.

Whether you’re already a dyed-in-the-wool fan or you just love a live show that gets bodies moving and voices shouting, this tour stop will be one of the more memorable rock nights of the winter in Texas. Don’t miss your chance to catch Dropkick Murphys ripping through their catalog with relentless pace and plenty of punk-rock heart.

Austin-based alt-country outfit The Droptines are hitting the Texas road this February, bringing their gritty blend of Americana, rock and storytelling to stages across the state. Known for songs that weave raw emotion with sun-soaked, Hill Country-inspired lyrics, the band fronted by Conner Arthur has quickly become a favorite for fans who love music that feels lived-in and real.

The Texas run includes a Feb. 13 show at Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, followed by a Feb. 14 stop at AM/FM in Dallas, and a Feb. 19 gig at Sagebrush in Austin giving Lone Star State fans plenty of chances to catch their high-energy live performance. Whether you’re already hooked on their alt-country sound or just looking for a great night out with heartfelt lyrics and solid musicianship, The Droptines’ journey through Texas in February is turning into one of the season’s standout events in the local scene.

With a bunch of songs that feel like they’re part of our Texas playlist, he knows how to turn every gig into a giant sing-along. Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame Awards

The 20th Annual Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame Awards returns to ACL Live at The Moody Theater in Austin on Feb. 21, celebrating the Lone Star State’s rich songwriting legacy with a night of tributes, performances, and honors. This year’s ceremony marks a milestone anniversary and will induct four legendary contributors to Texas music: Don Cook, Keith Gattis, Miranda Lambert, and George Strait – songwriters whose work embodies the heart, grit, and storytelling spirit of Texas and has influenced artists across the country and around the world.

More than an awards show, the event brings together fans, peers, and music lovers for an evening that blends celebration with live performances of iconic songs and personal tributes to the honorees. Whether you’re a longtime fan of country, Americana, or Texas roots music, the Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame Awards is a chance to honor the voices behind the songs that have shaped the state’s musical identity from classic hits to the stories that defined a generation.
