Between the music festivals coming to Texas and the concerts lined up across state, music lovers will have the opportunity to listen to all the new music on the way to these special events.
#1 Jason Isbell

American singer-songwriter Jason Isbell is one of the most celebrated songwriters of this generation. His most popular tune, Cover Me Up, was picked up by Morgan Wallen and the rest is history! His newest album, Foxes in the Snow, came out in early March.
Kicking off his tour by playing three nights at ALC Live at the Moody Center, fans can catch Isbell on April 3, 4, and 5. Last year Isbell opened up for Zach Bryan during his tour, and now fans have the chance to watch Jason Isbell and the 400 unit on their own. Make sure to catch a show!
#2 TWO STEP INN
The Two Step Inn festival is making a big return to Georgetown, Texas, and it’s better than ever! If you love country music, this is the place to be for a weekend packed with incredible performances, dancing, and good old Texas fun. Set in the San Gabriel Park, this one-of-a-kind festival brings together the best of both worlds, classic honky tonk vibes mixed with today’s hottest country sounds. With a lineup featuring legendary artists such as headliner Alan Jackson and Lnyryd Skynrd, and rising stars, you can count on high-energy shows, plenty of two-stepping, and an unbeatable atmosphere that truly embodies Texas music culture.
You can’t have a honky tonk without a dance floor, right? Two Step Inn has you covered with multiple dance floors, so you can two-step the day away to all your favorite country artists. And when you work up an appetite from all that dancing, there’ll be plenty of local food vendors serving up delicious eats to keep you going.
A few quick tips to make your Two Step Inn experience even better! The festival is totally cashless, so when you activate your wristband, link your credit or debit card for easy payments on food and merch. Also, there’s no on-site parking or street parking nearby, but don’t worry, there are two park-and-ride locations with shuttles to get you there. Just plan ahead since spots are limited! #3 Paul Simon

During his distinguished career Paul Simon has been the recipient of many honors and awards including 12 Grammy Awards, three of which (“Bridge Over Troubled Water”, “Still Crazy After All These Years” and “Graceland”) were albums of the year. In 2003 he was given a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award for his work as half of the duo Simon and Garfunkel. He is a member of The Songwriters Hall of Fame, a recipient of their Johnny Mercer Award and is in the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Simon and Garfunkel and as a solo artist. His song “Mrs. Robinson” from the motion picture The Graduate was named in the top ten of The American Film Institute’s 100 Years 100 Songs. He was a recipient of The Kennedy Center Honors in 2002 and was named as one of TIME Magazine’s “100 People Who Shape Our World” in 2006. In 2007, Mr. Simon was awarded the first annual Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. Named in honor of the legendary George and Ira Gershwin, this newly created award recognizes the profound and positive effect of popular music on the world’s culture and is given annually to a composer or performer whose lifetime contributions exemplify the standard of excellence associated with the Gershwin’s. In 2011 Mr. Simon was elected to The American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

#4 Sessanta 2.0

Get ready, San Antonio, Sessanta 2.0 is bringing an unforgettable night of music to the Freeman Coliseum on April 29! This isn’t just any tour; it’s a celebration of Maynard James Keenan’s 61st birthday, featuring three legendary bands, A Perfect Circle, Puscifer, and Primus, all sharing the stage in a way you’ve never seen before. Instead of the usual back-to-back sets, the bands will weave in and out of each other’s performances, creating a seamless, unpredictable, and electrifying show.

#5 Bri Bagwell

Texas Female Artist of the Decade and reigning Female Vocalist of the Year, Bri Bagwell, is a force to be reckoned with from her rousingly fun live performances to trailblazing recordings garnering her thirteen #1 singles on Texas Country Radio and counting. People Magazine raves, “Bagwell increasingly finds her name being mentioned amongst country music truth-tellers such as Ashley McBryde and Morgan Wade.” Her latest album, Corazón y Cabeza (Heart and Head), has already spawned three #1 singles, “Trenches,” “Free Man,” and “Hello Highway. ” The video for “Trenches” was awarded Music Video of The Year in the Texas Regional Radio Music Awards.
