The year is coming to an end, but there is still time for good music in 2022. Here are some of the best to close out the year for this month’s #TXTunes.

West, TX, native Randall King has made his mark on country music over the last month. His song You in a Honkey Tonk went viral on TikTok, and he released an EP at the end of November.

He will be in College Station on December 2, Katy on December 3, Gruene Hall on December 15-16 and finally Royse City, TX, on December 17.

#2 Dayglow

Indie pop group Dayglow released their debut album in 2018, but they are still making noise today. With their hit song, Can I Call You Tonight, they rose to stardom quickly. Lead singer Sloan Strube is from a small town outside Fort Worth, TX, and a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.

Dayglow will be performing at Stubb’s in Austin on December 2.

#3 Yung Gravy

First gaining recognition in 2017, rapper Yung Gravy has risen to fame this year – especially on TikTok. His song Betty went viral on the app, and he is known for his care-free attitude.

He is currently touring and can be seen in Dallas on December 8, Austin on December 9, and Houston on December 10.

#4 Parker McCollum

No stranger to Texas Lifestyle Magazine, Conroe-native Parker McCollum has been teasing new music all year, and finally is releasing his new single Stoned on December 2. Fans can expect a new album from McCollum in early 2023.

While there are no more Texas dates in 2022, McCollum will open up the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in February. He also just announced a tour with country music star Morgan Wallen.

#5 Trans-Siberian Orchestra

There is no better way to get into the holiday spirit than listening to some holiday music. The Trans-Siberian Orchestra has been performing their winter tour for years now. Great for families, couples and friends this is a must-see performance.

You can catch them in Dallas on December 28, Houston on December 29, and San Antonio on December 30.
