From the first step into Sophia’s, a feeling of nostalgia pulls on the heartstrings to supper clubs past. The inviting and beautiful entry is the first indication of the special experience waiting for you at Sophia’s.

Chicago based BDG Hospitality, partners James Brown, Matt Deichl and Jonathan Gillespie, were looking for the right opportunity to “put a footprint” on Austin. The location and space, on Austin’s iconic 6th Street, was perfect for their vision of a family style atmosphere where the experience draws together family and friends through food and drink. Using the esthetics of the space, along with a few updates, they created a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Guests can experience signature drinks such as the Amaro Mule and Tracy Morgan Smash, made in-house sausages and Italian cuisine.  Chef Cuisine Tom Schmidt and Executive Chef Mark Sparacino delicately prepare in-house created meats. Mark, a Chicago restaurateur, seeks to bring his flair and inspiration from Chicago to Austin for us all to experience.

Interior designer, Elizabeth Peña Brown, creativity blended the old with the new incorporating a rich peacock blue color scheme, specialty lighting, along with brick and wood.
