At the crossroads of tradition and innovation, Shiner has raised the bar once again.

Last month, on Nov. 15, 2025, the historic K. Spoetzl Brewery & Distillery introduced Rickhouse, marking the next chapter in Shiner’s journey from a cherished Texas brewery to a respected distillery and now a premier dining destination. Rooted in history and small-town charm, Rickhouse elevates the gastro-brewery and distillery scene, from first pour to last bite, delivering an elevated menu of storied Texas tradition.

Rustic Charm Meets Modern Elegance

Cozy yet spacious, Rickhouse seamlessly blends elements that pay homage to Shiner’s humble roots with a touch of modern style, creating an ambiance as timeless as the namesake itself. Natural wood-paneled accent walls, barn doors, and beams with wooden rivets add a rustic charm that complements the surrounding landscape, while gold fixtures and leather seating elevate the restaurant into an approachable fine-dining experience.

The full-service bar offers plenty of seating for groups or lunch gatherings with friends, while the 1,500-square-foot patio is an ideal scenic stop for road-tripping adventurers. Featuring a private dining room and distillery tours, Rickhouse surpasses any gastro-brewery or distillery experience, making the flagship restaurant a destination on its own.

A Culinary Journey Through Shiner

With a Spoetzl Brewery & Distillery-driven menu, Rickhouse celebrates Texas’s rich history and vibrant present while showcasing local ingredients in a forward-looking culinary experience that has something for everyone. The Dirty Martini Salad, a refreshing mixed green salad tossed with Shiner Gin vinaigrette, provides a burst of freshness from the start. The French Onion Soup, with onions braised in beef broth and Shiner beer, topped with melting gruyere cheese, and served with warm French bread, is a delicious appetizer offering a savory, aromatic follow-up.

Further combining gastronomy with distillery- and brewery-derived flavors is the Shrimp Penne Alla Vodka, a savory medley of plump grilled shrimp atop tangy vodka sauce and chopped basil. And because no Texas restaurant is complete without beef taking center stage, the Sirloin Steak, served with velvet potatoes and a rich Shiner Bourbon mushroom glaze, delivers authentic Texas flavors.

A sinful indulgence that will soon be a local favorite, the CinnaShine Cobbler is a homemade delight infused with Shiner Cinnamon Shine. This sweet and delectably spiced treat pairs a perfectly textured crumble with warm, gooey filling, delivering a burst of Texas pride in every bite.

Raise a Glass to Tradition

While the taps at Rickhouse pour endless streams of Shiner Bocks, ales, and lagers that are both mainstays and seasonals, libations are as rich and storied as the history itself. Paying homage to the prohibition era roots, Rickhouse spirit-driven drinks are boldly traditional and inventive. The Rickhouse Signature Old Fashioned delivers bold, full-bodied flavor, pairing perfectly with any of the menu’s hearty or sweet offerings.

The Basil Lemonade Spritz offers a crisp, refreshing start, with bright notes that evoke the essence of a spring day. For fall, the standout seasonal cocktail is the Fall Y’all—a warmly spiced blend of toasted cinnamon, cider, and Shiner CinnaShine. This comforting libation is the perfect companion for cool evenings, destined to rival any pumpkin spice latte as the ultimate autumn indulgence.
