As I heard the words “Mommy, look! Sweet Paris is here!” coming from an excited little girl, I knew I was in for a sweet treat I most definitely would not regret. With the savory crêpes and Instagrammable moments, it’s understandable why this upscale yet affordable place is so popular.

Founded in 2012 by Allison and Iván Chávez, the two made it a mission to “revive the art of eating crêpes.” With more than nine locations in operation today, Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café continues to expand into new Texas markets, including the recently-opened Austin location.

Located in the space next to Starbucks in the heart of The Domain, Sweet Paris offers a place to recharge and relax after a long day of shopping, as well as a fun dining spot the whole family will enjoy.

From the sweet and savory crêpes to the milkshakes and hot drinks, the Instagram-worthy interiors and the delicious artful food make Sweet Paris a favorite place to be for anyone who enjoys tasty food at an affordable price.

Start with one of the hot drinks or beverages. Warm up with a tasty Nutella hot chocolate or try the cappuccino with the Paris logo. The cappuccino looks so aesthetically pleasing, you’ll have to take a pic for the ‘gram! If you want a little kick, Sweet Paris offers a variety of mimosas, beer, cider, wine and champagne. The lavender champagne was unique, with flavors I’d never tasted before; it kept me wanting more!

I personally loved the sweet Nutella crêpe filled with strawberries and topped with delicious ice-cream. The Dulce de Leche sweet crêpe will have your taste buds jumping with joy. If you’re not feeling so sweet, there are plenty of breakfast and savory crêpes to choose from, such as The Austinite, Philly Cheesesteak, Chicken Enchilada and more. Vegan, gluten- and dairy-free batter is available upon request. (Note: Breakfast crêpes are served until 3pm.)

At Sweet Paris, it’s okay to have dessert before dinner. Even though this sweet place specializes in delicious crêpes, the milkshakes give them a run for their money and (in my opinion) steal the spotlight. The Oreo milkshake was one of the best I’ve had—I couldn’t get enough of the mouth-watering flavors. These milkshakes not only tasted amazingly delicious, they look amazing as well, making for a perfect social media moment.

With all the sweetness on the menu, make sure not to overlook any of the salads, paninis and soups. The Cobb salad was beautifully plated, filled with a delicious spring mix with hard-boiled eggs, basil-infused cherry tomatoes and topped with avocado, bacon, feta and corn with dijon vinaigrette.

Whether it be for your next romantic date, brunch with the girls or just a place to relax and recharge after shopping, Sweet Paris is the perfect, sweetest place for anyone who enjoys made-from-scratch dishes and Instagram-worthy interiors. If you’re not comfortable dining in, you can always order online here!
