The city of Austin has established itself as the live music capital of the world, in addition to being a city that prides itself on supporting the local community. The Back on My Feet Concert Benefit is the perfect example of how members of the Austin community are using music to bring light to the Back on My Feet, a national nonprofit operating in 11 cities coast-to-coast, combats homelessness through the power of running, community support and essential employment and housing resources. Three local Austin bands, A/b (formerly Chipper Jones), Food Group, and singer-songwriter Stacey Lee will come together at Javelina, who has also donated their venue, to perform a live show to drive awareness to the fact that there are over 2,000 people experiencing homelessness in Austin.

As musicians, we strive to inspire and encourage others to overcome their obstacles, as does this outstanding organization, and we look forward to helping raise awareness and support for such a beautiful cause,” said James Lambrecht, Guitarist for the band A/b.
