Start planning those vacations—summer is on the horizon.

Luckily, Texas has so many unique vacation spots for families, couples or gal and guy trips so, fret not, no need to travel far. From Big Bend to Austin, here is a complete list of my top Texas destination spots and what wardrobe to pack.

Destination: Austin

Wear: Free People is so Austin. It’s effortlessly hip, bohemian, free spirited and fun. Pack this retro-inspired two piece jumpsuit by Free People for a night out or a day traipsing SoCo.

The perfect city for outdoor recreation, eclectic fashion, live entertainment, bohemian vibes and good old weirdness.

Stay: The “So Close Yet So Far Out” Austin Motel on South Congress, a classic retro motel with hopping pool close to unique shops, cheeky restaurants and cool street art. The hippie part of town where the fashion is out of this world cool.

Destination: Fredericksburg

Wear: Pack a fabulous sundress for shopping and wine tasting. It’ll keep you cool and you will look so chic at the wineries. Try this BB Dakota maxi dress, found on Revolve. It’s a gorgeous green, perfect for any skin tone.

A cute German town near Austin and home to numerous wineries and bed and breakfast hotels. Grab your gal pals, this spot is perfect for a ladies’ trip or bachelorette party.

Stay: The Roadrunner Inn on Main Street. Close to everything and so modern and hip. For a hotel pick, stay at the spa hotel Inn on Barons Creek for pampering services.

Destination: Big Bend

Wear: Denim. Grab those denim shorts and add a cute cowboy boot to show them you’re going to the old west. My go-to for denim shorts is Levi’s. They’re comfortable, cool and so Texan.

This desert area that will make you feel real Texan. Load up the family and take them out West. The area has a fantastic National Park, mountains, caverns, hills and—even better—restaurants.

Stay: Lajitas Resort hosts a breathtaking view, rustic decor and a gorgeous pool. Very reasonable nightly rates as well.

Destination: Waco

Wear: You can’t go wrong packing a comfortable and stylish romper for all your Magnolia traipsing. Pack this one from Red Dress Boutique. It’s darling and a great price. Pair with a Converse sneaker for day walking or a heel for evening.

Home of the Magnolia mecca brought to us by creators Chip and Joanna Gaines. It has the best small town feel while being one of the top tourist destinations in the United States currently. Check out Magnolia Market, Bakery and more.

Stay: Hotel Indigo near Baylor. It’s hip, fresh and so cool. Or, check out Airbnb for cute rentals, including bed-and-breakfasts in Waco.

All of these unique Texas places have so much character, so go enjoy and have fun with your wardrobe as you pack!
