If you visit a larger-scale country music event in Texas this spring, you may come across an immersive and unique Kendra Scott experience. Parked outside of the Academy of Country Music Awards recently in Frisco, Scott’s new Yellow Rose by Kendra Scott brand, made especially for Texans, is sweeping through the state. The brand offers a custom-hat-making experience, where guests have the opportunity to choose from 24 hats and dozens of unique features including bandanas, Kendra Scott jewels, feathers, and more, including some pieces that are considered “vintage” Kendra Scott.

The Hat Customization experience is also available (at least) through the end of the year in Austin at the Kendra Scott flagship store on South Congress. It originally launched during the start of Texas Rodeo season in January. It turns out, hat customization has been a vision of Scott’s for years now – bringing a twist to her overall Color Bar® jewelry customization experience.

“Our Hat Customization lets us bring that interactive customer experience to life in a brand-new way that’s authentic to our Yellow Rose by Kendra Scott brand,” says Scott, who is also Founder, Executive Chairwoman, and Chief Creative Officer of her brand. “With Hat Customization, I wanted to offer that customization element to hats—an accessory I’ve loved and styled on myself for many years—but in a way that was accessible to customers, just like our Color Bar®.”

Perfect for all, each hat comes in two different sizes. In addition to choosing physical add-ons, you can get custom branding in any combination of letters and symbols. A sun, cactus, or horseshoe are two popular options.

“Narrowing down our hat selection was one of our hardest decisions, so we went with a variety from one of my favorite hat brands, Gigi Pip, whose mission is to build confidence in women!” says Scott. “Our team at the South Congress flagship is so creative – they’ll coach you through the whole process and make sure you leave with a hat you love.”

In addition to the Hat Customization experiences, Scott also launched her new Kendra Scott Foundation this year. The foundation is a component of the Austin Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, and is committed to empowering women and youth in the areas of health and wellness, education, and entrepreneurship. It will incorporate some of Scott’s long-standing programs and partnerships, including (but not limited to) Yellow for Pink by Kendra Scott, Kendra Cares, Education, and Women in Entrepreneurship.

“I started this brand with the intention to do good first and sell jewelry second, and I couldn’t be prouder to announce the launch of the Kendra Scott Foundation, which enables us to do even more and touch even more lives,” says Scott. “The Kendra Scott Foundation deepens our investment to change the lives of women and youth and allows us to create a lasting impact for years to come.”

Philanthropy, jewelry, and unique, personalized hats – it is always enjoyable to watch the Kendra Scott brand grow, evolve, and innovate. Hats at the South Congress store and Yellow Rose pop-up shops start at $124, with customization add-ons ranging from $2-$48. Yellow Rose by Kendra Scott jewelry pieces range from $60-$298, with curated artisan jewelry ranging from $980-$5,500.
