In the zone to take on 138 games, including almost 70 home games, the Frisco RoughRiders are back for a 22nd franchise season, which officially batted off on April 4.

A 3,000 square foot lazy river is one of the most unique features in attending a Frisco RoughRiders game. Filled with 68,000 gallons of water, with a lazy river ticket, fans can grab a tube and enjoy a cool down in the water during all nine innings of a game. The attraction is the only lazy river within the entire Minor League Baseball franchise and it is also the largest water feature within a U.S. professional sporting venue.

Upgraded Ballpark Features

Fun for all ages – the Frisco RoughRiders season is a great way to create memories during those carefree summer nights. Photo courtesy Frisco RoughRiders.

New this year, a Kids’ Power Zone is now located behind the batter’s eye in centerfield. Sponsored by Baylor Scott & White Health, this area features kid friendly experiences, including inflatables, speed of pitch, and more surprises for the youngest of fans.

If you want to take yourself out during the ball game, a pop-up Baseballism fashion shop will be in the stadium all season long to help you look good while you root for the home team. Located at the Home Plate Entrance to the park, Baseballism offers Frisco RoughRiders apparel and accessories for kids, women, and men, all in the team’s beloved blue and red colors.

For tasty ballpark food and drink – and maybe a little more than some peanuts and Cracker Jack — RANCHO20 and Milagro Tequila have two new locations in the stadium to serve spirits from William Grant & Sons. Also new to the park is Donato’s Pizza, the new “official pizza” of the Frisco RoughRiders. The multi-state chain pizza shop, founded in 1963, is a service-focused business that is known for giving back in a variety of ways and works to “be a good neighbor” through causes associated with housing, hunger, and health. Loaded edge to edge with toppings in a Columbian style thin crust, the pepperoni has a thin crisp texture with smoked provolone cheese.

Special Events

Eighteen fireworks shows are planned for the season, including three consecutive nights the week of July 4 and a special Independence Day “Stars & Stripes Night.” Photo courtesy Frisco RoughRiders.

Guest appearances and theme nights will add sparks to the 2025 season. Keeping with tradition, the ballpark will host 18 fireworks shows, which usually happen on home game Friday nights, and can be seen across the city, lighting up the sky.

Four mascots for the Frisco RoughRiders – say hello to prairie dogs Deuce and Daisy, Bull Moose, and Ted E. Bear (a teddy bear resembling former President Teddy Roosevelt) Fun fact: the Frisco RoughRiders are named after the 1st U.S. Volunteer Calvary Regiment, which was known as the “Rough Riders” and led by Teddy Roosevelt during the Spanish-American War. Fourteen nights of giveaways are scheduled with everything from a pickleball night with pickleball paddle cover giveaways to children’s giveaways, including a Bluey themed night, and even some Texas Rangers bobble heads during a couple of select Texas Rangers themed game nights. The Frisco minor league team is a double A affiliate of the Texas Rangers major league baseball team and has been since its formation in 2003.

A favorite American pastime, the Frisco RoughRiders have been in North Texas for 22 seasons now. Photo courtesy Frisco RoughRiders.

A fan favorite, you can bring your furry best friend to the ballpark on select nights. The season’s first “Bark in the Park” for dogs was on April 6, followed by another on April 20 – and several other dates listed, usually on select Sunday evenings, in the 2025 season’s promotional schedule. Additional special events include a “halfway to Halloween” costume night.

Watching the game from the H-E-B Family Lawn is always a good idea! This budget friendly option allows for more flexibility and is great for small children. Photo courtesy Frisco RoughRiders.

The 2025 Frisco RoughRiders season runs through Sept. 14. Tickets can be purchased online with a variety of options including traditional seating in the stands, lazy river seating, or grass seating in the H-E-B Family Lawn section. Tickets start at $11. Discounted tickets are available for military, first responders, and educators.
