We recommend staying in the Serenity Suite with one king bed. I especially loved the rainfall showers and open-concept bathroom with a freestanding soaking tub. Stir up a cocktail at the fully stocked wet bar and fall in love with the stunning views through the floor-to-ceiling windows.

It’s about that time for poolside relaxation, so head to the CENOTE deck and lounge at the private luxury cabana. Enjoy the alfresco bar, delicious bites, music activations on weekends, a private water ledge, and VIP service. Go ahead, treat yourself to some fine wine at the bar and snack on delicious bites. You deserve it!

It’s a must to dine at the hotel’s signature restaurant Landrace. After all, James Beard award finalist Steve McHugh is the mastermind behind this creative cuisine – known as San Antonio’s most celebrated chef. Landrace honors the pastoral beauty of foods sourced from regional Lone Star ingredients from heritage growers. These delicious indulgences change seasonally. Landrace also offers two expansive private dining rooms, one of which features views of the Riverwalk.

I absolutely loved the bacon cheddar biscuits with apricot jam. For the meat lovers, you can try the fried duck wings, pork riblets, or maybe the lamb tacos. The fried brussels sprouts were crisp to perfection, and for the vegetarian and vegans, the chickpea and mushroom meatballs should be on your radar.

Head up to the 20th floor to spend the evening at The Moon’s Daughters – your new favorite rooftop terrace that you’ve been dreaming of. Inspired by the Greek goddess of the Moon, the 300-seat restaurant and bar offers glimmering city lights and impeccable views. This is where you can truly see the city’s beauty for what it is. (Practice your poses because this is a view you’ll want to capture!) This indoor-outdoor rooftop lounge elevates the Thompson hotel on a whole other level. It was even named the number one restaurant in San Antonio by USA Today in 2021. This Mediterranean-inspired menu from Executive Chef Robert Cantu features flavorful dishes, such as meat and fish entrees as well as vegetarian Stuffed Leek Kebobs. Side dishes range from roasted local squash and mushrooms to labneh, artichoke hummus and marinated olives. The Moon’s Daughters is open for Happy Hour, Dinner and Late-Night dining.
