Just over an hour from Dallas-Fort Worth, the Zen Den at All is Well Resort offers a private mirrored cabin escape in the peaceful Texas countryside.
If you’ve been telling yourself, you need a break from the bustle of the city, consider this your sign. Imagine stepping into a place where stress fades into the background and the only real decision you’ll have is how you spend the day. The sound of traffic is replaced by birdsong and the soft rustle of leaves in the breeze. The sun warms your skin by day, and at night, an endless canopy of stars stretches overhead. This is the kind of escape where you can truly unplug, slow down, and fully immerse yourself in nature.

Located in Saint Jo, Texas, the Zen Den at the newly opened All is Well Resort isn’t your typical place to sleep – it’s a whole experience. The exterior is made of skyscraper grade one-way mirrored glass that reflects the gorgeous surrounding woods. The reflective glass provides exceptional privacy, so guests can fully enjoy the scenery without worrying about being seen. Every glance out the window reminds you why you came: to disconnect and reconnect with nature, and yourself.

The Zen Den certainly lived up to its name. Inside is a sleek, minimalist interior with a king bed, wood accents and expansive windows that create a light, airy space. It was a gorgeous sunny day, but even if it was raining you have the perfect quiet nooks for reading or journaling.

(The property also offers several yurts and clear dome stays for guests looking for a slightly different glamping experience).

Step into the relaxing hot tub that provides the ultimate stargazing experience. Lean your head back and gaze at the gorgeous canopy of stars above you. Look around and you just might see fireflies lighting up the night. Life is great when you’re soaking in a warm hot tub on a chilly night, or any time for that matter!

What makes this space even more unique? You have your very own private sauna – a feature you don’t often find in a place like this. Start with a sauna session to melt the tension away and just simply be.

Outside on the deck you have a grill to cook some family dinners, a fire pit to make smores (or tell campfire stories by), and plenty of benches to immerse yourself in nature.

There are several nearby trails perfect for a relaxing walk or bike ride. I even spotted an armadillo rustling through the leaves, so you never know what kind of creature you might encounter out there!

If you’re looking to keep the relaxing vibes going, visit Arche Winery & Vineyard, a nearby family-owned winery just minutes away. Surrounded by rolling vineyards in the Red River Valley, here is where you can enjoy tasting locally crafted Texas wines while overlooking the peaceful countryside.

Whether it’s an evening soak in the hot tub under a star-filled night, a peaceful forest walk, or enjoying a glass at a nearby winery, The Zen Den is the place to be for anyone craving a break from the noisy city, or just want a peaceful escape to help you feel rejuvenated when you return. The All is Well Resort may be the reset you didn’t realize you needed!
