If you’re visiting during Fiesta San Antonio, you’re in for a real treat. This vibrant eleven-day citywide celebration is packed with color, culture, and nonstop fun. The energy is contagious — from the famous Oyster Bake and the Fiesta Flambeau Parade, the largest illuminated night parade in the United States, to a chili cook off, live music, and traditional festivities in Market Square.

Throughout the city, you’ll also see eye-catching decorations everywhere you turn. Brightly colored papel picado banners flutter above the streets, giant flower crowns and vibrant murals fill the plazas, and floats and storefronts are decked out in bold colors and lights that reflect the spirit of Fiesta. It’s impossible not to get swept up in the celebration.

When it’s time for lunch, hop on the river shuttle and head to La Gloria, well known for their margaritas. They offer an amazing variety of tacos, molcajetes, and several fresh ceviche options. You are sure to leave full and happy.

If you need a quiet place to recharge during your day, Marriott’s Concierge Lounge, the M Club on the 26th floor, is the perfect spot. With sweeping views of the city, it offers a breakfast buffet in the morning, a relaxed snack spread in the afternoon, and a rotating dessert selection in the evening. It’s a great place to pause your wandering, catch your breath, and refuel before heading back out.

For a taste of history, make your way to The Esquire Tavern. It is the oldest bar on the River Walk and just a ten to fifteen minute stroll from the hotel. The atmosphere is dark, moody, and cozy, and they serve up a strong menu of craft cocktails sure to impress anyone.
