College Station is home to Texas A&M – one of the largest universities in the United States. With over 71,000 students and their families converging on the town each fall, and many events that the city has to offer throughout the year, you will find a large selection and variety of hotels around town. But if you’re looking for a fun, unique place to stay, then make a reservation at Hotel McCoy.

Nestled right off of Highway 6, Hotel McCoy opened in the summer of 2023. This is the first Texas location but their third overall, with the other two locations in Tucson, Arizona, and Pullman, Washington.

Immediately pulling up to the hotel you will be greeted with bright murals and a colorful lobby. Art litters the walls in the hotel – all of which is done by local artists. The workers are eager to make sure your room is everything you need it to be, and the check-in/check-out process is a breeze.

Once you get settled into your room, there are plenty of things you can do on site! Outside there is a sparkling saltwater pool, dive-in movie screen, all-local art gallery, full-sized pickleball court, outdoor circuit gym, mushroom art installation, adult-sized playground, life-sized chess board, tree swings, and a full bar with tapas plates. The enclosed courtyard will host concerts, outdoor movie screenings, pickleball tournaments, and synchronized swimming shows.

Inside, there is a bar stocked with local beer, wine and spirits. They host bingo nights, paint and sips, and comedy shows. Even just walking around to look at the art is fun!

In the mornings, there is a free breakfast available – there is even a build your own omelet bar! The best part about it all? Almost everything is local to Texas!
