The hustle and bustle of city life can be energizing, but sometimes, you just need to slow the pace and breathe in something different. In the heart of Temecula Valley wine country, Europa Village offers the perfect change of scenery — a slice of Europe without ever leaving California.
If you’ve been dreaming of a European vacation but crossing the Atlantic isn’t in the cards right now, this is your answer. Part Disneyland for adults, part luxurious European getaway, Europa Village blends Old World charm with modern hospitality. And as the 2025 California Winery of the Year, it’s a must-add to your wine country itinerary.

Europa Village is more than just a winery — it’s three distinct European destinations wrapped into one resort experience. Since its temporary opening in 2008, the property has been expanding into something truly special. Today, each “village” immerses guests in the flavors, culture, and atmosphere of Spain, Italy, and France.
Bolero – A Taste of Spain
Europa Village’s Spanish village, Bolero, is the most developed of the three. Here you’ll find the Bolero Winery, a vibrant restaurant, and ten charming Casitas.

Check-in feels like a warm welcome to Spain — complete with a glass of sangria and friendly service (we were lucky enough to meet Ray, whose hospitality set the tone for our stay). The Casitas are tucked into a setting that feels like a quiet Spanish street, each with a king-size bed, a private patio, and access to a cozy fire pit. S’mores kits are available for purchase — perfect for a starry Temecula night.

The Bolero Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner — but don’t worry, you won’t tire of the menu. Mornings might start with a fresh juice or mimosa flight, while weekends bring an indulgent brunch (we’re still dreaming about the spicy beef empanadas). For dinner, pair a glass of bold red with the legendary Caesar salad, or visit on Tapas Tuesday for shareable plates and sangria. And if you’re in the mood to dance, Latin Night brings live music and plenty of reasons to hit the floor.
Vienza – La Dolce Vita in the Heart of Temecula
Next, stroll over to Vienza for a taste of Italy. Accommodations here are still in development, but the culinary and wine experiences are reason enough to visit.

Stepping into Mercato di Vienza feels like walking into a small-town Italian market — shelves lined with spices, artisanal pasta, and gourmet treats ready to turn any dinner at home into a feast. Order lunch from the counter (we recommend the arancini, caprese bruschetta, and pistachio pesto pizza, paired with a Monségur Cabernet Franc) and enjoy it on the patio overlooking the rolling property.

The Vienza wine tasting experience is a highlight — a guided journey through seven distinctive wines, best enjoyed in the Italian gardens, which feels straight out of central Italy.
C’est La Vie – A French Escape
The final stop is C’est La Vie, Europa Village’s tribute to France. The tasting room opens to a charming outdoor space framed by vineyards and dotted with French details like love locks, where guests can express their love.

With your tasting passport in hand, you can explore all three villages in a single day — no need to leave the property’s 40 acres to feel as though you’ve crossed three borders.
The Happenings – Events to Savor
Europa Village keeps its calendar full of memorable experiences:
- Sunset Sips – Summer evenings with live music in rotating tasting rooms, the perfect soundtrack as the sun sets over the vineyards.
- Sunday Italian Barbecue – From 4–8 p.m. at Vienza, enjoy Italian barbecue, fine wine, gelato, and live entertainment.
- Mercato Mondays – Extended market hours with a family-style menu, Italian wines, cocktails, and music. (No reservations required.)

- Great Taste of Europa – On September 14, from 4–8 p.m., this signature food and wine festival showcases Spain, France, Italy, and two guest countries — this year, Norway and Portugal. Expect regional cuisine, European wines, artisan vendors, and live entertainment.Tickets, which include all food and beverage tastings, are available for purchase here.
Europa Village continues to grow and evolve, but it remains rooted in its Old World charm. Whether you’re drawn by the wine, the food, the events, or the feeling of stepping into another place entirely, it’s the kind of destination you’ll want to return to again and again.
