The Ruby Hotel: Be Inspired By Love And Luxury On This Cozy Creekside Getaway

Opened in 2019, The Ruby Hotel was inspired by love. It’s a fact that you can see love in every detail, from the mid-century modern blend of luxury and nature to the elegantly plated entrees and expertly crafted cocktails. You can feel the love too, from the creek side backdrop inspiring many vows and more to come to the care and hospitality that the staff brings. The Ruby Hotel is in fact a love letter written to its guests, and why it is your next cozy creek-side getaway.

The Ruby Hotel’s storied theme of love began when a partial love letter addressed to a “Dearest Ruby” was found among the leaves and litter on site. And since this chance finding, Alexa Management and locally-based architect Larry Speck at Page have converted this 1961 residential home into a 39-room boutique hotel complete with a local favorite lounge and cocktail bar.

A Creek-side Oasis with Timeless Charm

In a time when big commerce guides our everyday life and big congested highways stretch out from sunrise to sunset, The Ruby is a reminder of why a restful retreat is needed. Located on the southern banks of Brushy Creek in Round Rock, one of the fastest growing cities in America, The Ruby is a perfectly peaceful escape that synergizes style and serenity. With just a few steps from Veterans Park and minutes from downtown Round Rock, this quiet removal from the hustle and bustle of society is still within arm’s length of modern convenience and luxury design. With cool blue or vibrant green tones and mid-century modern inspired designs in each room to a shaded poolside retreat surrounded by lush gardens, there is a peaceful purpose integrated into every design element.

Not to be only for vacationers or weekend road warriors, The Ruby also caters to business travelers. With 700 square feet of chic, tech-enabled indoor-outdoor space for C-level meetings, this wooded haven is the perfect corporate retreat to center your employees while presenting in a nature-inspired ambiance.

A Lounge and Bar for Locals and Travelers

What makes The Ruby an ideal getaway for locals and travelers alike is the onsite lounge and cocktail bar. The Ruby Bar is a renovated 1961 house where guests and patrons can either sit inside the library-like lounge, surrounded by warm wood tones and leather upholstery, or enjoy an artisanal drink outside on the deck with 180-degree panoramic creek views.

The Ruby Bar boasts a carefully curated list of craft cocktails, wine, local beer, and fresh mocktails in addition to a delicious fare of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Favorites like the apple & goat cheese salad with roasted chicken or signature Ruby Burger with certified angus beef and a kaiser bun are sure to be a hit. And on weekends, guests and patrons should try the chilaquiles for Brunch open from 10 am to 3 pm.

With a robust schedule of programming and events to include monthly local art shows, weekly  Taco & Tequila Tuesdays, Wine Down Wednesdays, and live music, this hidden hotspot offers something for everyone—even journaling birders. So, whether you’re staying in town, passing through, or living locally, The Ruby Hotel and Bar has every reason to visit.
