There are so many live holiday shows happening around Texas this month, and it can be tough to keep them straight. We’ve compiled a few performances in December that you won’t want to miss.

The seventh annual Festival of Texas Fiddling is Dec. 3-4 and will feature the very best in all styles of fiddling from across Texas plus jamming, food, beer and vendors. It’s over two days on two stages with 15 bands and master fiddlers and all day dancing in Twin Sisters Dance Hall in Blanco, Texas. And, it’s only $20 for the whole weekend!

Kraak & Smaak, a funky trio from the Netherlands, are coming to Deep Ellum Art Co. Dec. 5 to show off their newly released EP “Sciroco” – a musical must for electro fans. Their tunes bounce between the eras with hints of jazz, ‘70s electro and ‘90s beats. This newest album delivers a unique genre that can best be described as ethereal club music. You just have to listen to it to understand.

Lindsey Buckingham

Lindsey Buckingham has been described as one of the most inventive and electrifying musicians of his generation. His instinct for melody and his singular fingerpicking guitar style are showcased on the seven studio and three live albums he has released as a solo artist, beginning with 1981’s “Law and Order” and continuing through this year’s “Lindsey Buckingham,” his first solo release since 2011’s “Seeds We Sow.” Catch his shows in Austin at the Paramount Theatre on Dec. 8, Majestic Theatre in Dallas on Dec. 9 or Smart Financial Centre in Sugarland on Dec. 11.

Throughout the month of December, starting on the 4th, Parker Jazz Club presents its exclusive “A Very Merry Christmas Show,” featuring the dynamic Parker House Band with vocalist Jennifer Johnson as they perform sparkling jazz arrangements of perennial favorites. The Ryan Davis Trio will open each show with Vince Guaraldi’s classic music from A Charlie Brown Christmas, setting the tone for a stylish and fun celebration of the most wonderful time of the year. This is one of our favorite jazz clubs, so it’s one you won’t want to miss!

You can also see him perform in San Antonio on Dec. 9, then in Lubbock, Houston and Dallas throughout the rest of the month.
