Believe it or not, 2022 is moving right along. Some of those moving and shaking right into March are talented musicians and artists coming to Texas or releasing new music this month! 

We’ve gathered some of our favorites for this month’s #TexasTunes.

#1. Jonah Kagen 

This rising singer-songwriter and multi-talented musician became a TikTok sensation with his debut single song, “Broken.” Kagen has won the hearts of many with his emotional, folk-inspired lyrics and undeniable music technicality skills. He kick-starts his first North American tour supporting Maisie Peters March 1. Don’t miss his stops in Dallas (March 17) and Houston (March 18)!

#2. William Clark Green

A native Texan from Eastland, William Clark Green is releasing his sixth album “Baker Hotel” on March 25! Baker Hotel is thematically and geographically based around the ebb and flow of small town America, with the exemplary tale of Mineral Wells, Texas and its once legendary and now abandoned hotel. Green has been selling out venues across his home state and beyond for the last 15 years, making a name for himself as a gritty performer with a big ol’ voice and a powerhouse band, so we are excited for all the sounds this new album brings. He is performing around Texas during March.

#3. Adria Kain’s debut album, “When Flowers Bloom”

Making her debut as an artist, Adria Kain recently released the soul-filled and honest album, “When Flowers Bloom.” Her inspirations draw from early 2000s neo-soul sounds, with modern influences like SZA, Frank Ocean, Dijon and others. Sharing stories of love, resilience, and embracing her identity as a queer, masc-presenting Black woman, Kain is in full command of her spectacular voice. This album is a deeply felt collection of songs detailing an experience of reconnecting with nature to heal old wounds, grow into the most authentic version of herself, and just let go.

#4. Cautious Clay 

Cautious Clay has been making big waves over the last few years in the music industry, and recently came out with the deluxe edition of his album, “Deadpan Love.” Doing a lot of behind-the-scenes work, his music has been sampled by Taylor Swift (Lover), and he’s written songs with John Legend and John Mayer. Furthermore, Cautious Clay recently kicked off his Karma & Friends Tour of North America, and you can catch him in Dallas, Austin and Houston March 10-12. 

#5. Lyle Lovett and his Acoustic Group 

Beloved four-time Grammy-winning singer, composer, and actor Lyle Lovett has confirmed a 2022 tour with his Acoustic Group, which will feature stripped-down arrangements of Lovett standards as well as some exciting previews of songs from his upcoming Verve Records release scheduled for May. You can catch the talented group live in March in Galveston, Waco and New Braunfels, with upcoming dates in April in Dallas as well. 

#6. The Quebe Sisters

Three women – modern, creative and talented – are stretching the boundaries of old-time country and western swing music. The best part? They are doing it steadfastly, free of frivolous fanfare. We’re talking about neo-traditionalist western swing trio the Quebe Sisters – siblings Grace, Sophia and Hulda. The talented trio is coming to the Globe Theatre in Bertram, TX on March 26.
