With spring in full bloom, garden tours are popping up all over Texas. One of the must-see gardening events in north Texas is the Celina Garden Tour.

On June 8, the Celina Garden Club hosts their annual Garden Tour, an exclusive showcase of eight area home gardens and wineries. This year’s event takes the viewer on a self-guided tour, winding through the picturesque north Texas countryside around Celina. The tour highlights the burgeoning area’s rustic charm, providing stunning views of Celina’s vast farmlands and rolling terrain as well as rare glimpses of several of the area’s most impressive gardens.

“This year’s tour reflects the urban growth Celina has experienced with the addition of new, smaller garden spaces featured at homes in a couple of the city’s suburban developments,” says Melissa Green, who oversees special events and philanthropy for the Garden Club. “It will also highlight Celina’s rural heritage with sprawling vineyards and peaceful country properties.”

Other breathtaking venues on the tour include the Caudalie Crest Winery, Eden Hill Winery & Vineyard, a private home vineyard, and a trio of suburban home gardens that reflect the beauty and benefits of indoor-outdoor living.

Club members actively participate in civic improvement programs, which include sponsoring an annual scholarship for students interested in environmental-related studies.
