The Coen Brothers are at it again with this well made comedy. Brimming with top tier talent, this story is a unique satire of 1950s Hollywood, following the story of Capitol Studios fixer Eddie Mannix (Josh Brolin) as he faces what seems to be an endless chain of chaos. Baird Whitlock (George Clooney), star of their biggest film – Hail, Caesar!, has been kidnapped from the set, the innocent starlet DeeAnna Moran (Scarlett Johansson) is pregnant out of wedlock, the higher-ups are forcing him to cast a dense but delightful cowboy (Alden Ehrenreich) in a sophisticated romance, tabloid reporters, both played by Tilda Swinton, dog him at every step searching for the truth their readers need, and to top it all off, his wife (Alison Pill), is forcing him to quit smoking. Trust us when we say this is a movie you’ll enjoy.

The Choice

The work of Nicholas Sparks returns to the big screen this romantic season with a movie that women are sure to enjoy. The Choice follows a love affair that begins when Travis Parker and Gabby Holland first meet as neighbors in a small town and end up spiraling towards a relationship that neither could have imagined. Truth be told, this is likely another re-imagining of the formula Sparks has come to be known for. Nothing particularly amazing, but women seem to absolutely enjoy his work.

This long-awaited return is here just in time to brighten the lives of movie fans young and old. 15 years after the original, it seems Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson still have the magic. Reviving their roles as amazing fashion models Derek Zoolander and Hansel, the duo have begun modeling again when an opposing company attempts to take them out from the business. With many familiar faces returning for this sequel, it’s sure to entertain both new and returning fans. One special hint — The Evil DJ is back with a brand new mix.

This movie is definitely a great choice for a girls night out. With a seriously funny ensemble of female talent, this movie follows two young women who feel unable to commit to long term relationships and attempt to enjoy living the single life. With the likes of Rebel Wilson, Dakota Johnson, and many other great talents, this movie is sure to entertain, and makes for a perfect escape from all of the hearts and flowers flooding the month of February.
