The slight dip in blazing temperatures this week is proving just enough motivation to lure Austinites outdoors for the final weeks of Stephen F’s Bar 7 Flavors of Summer boozy popsicle cocktail series—adding frozen fun to the dog days of summer with delicious pop-tails.

Served on the bar and terrace at the InterContinental Stephen F. Austin Hotel, the 7 Flavors of Summer menu was created to celebrate and feature many of the most popular Texas craft distillers. “We love showcasing Texas artisans throughout our food and beverage menus so creating the 7 Flavors of Summer Series was a fun challenge and led to the discovery of some fantastic new makers,” said Vinny D’Agostino, Director of Food & Beverage at the Stephen F. Austin Hotel. “Popsicles are beloved at any age, so we look forward to giving our guests a fun new way to enjoy this quintessential summer item with a boozy upgrade.”

The summer series, which has been extended to run through August 30, is featuring several new summer flavors, among them Red Wine Sangria pop-tail ($6). The sangria will pair perfectly with several of the historic hotel’s appetizers, including Tortilla Crusted Gulf Shrimp, Brisket Quesadillas and the Bacon Wrapped Quail. Look out also for Nutty Irishmen, Brandy Alexander, Mudslide and Grasshopper popsicles.

Throughout the summer Stephen F has been donating $1 to Austin Pets Alive for every pop-tail sold. The dog-friendly Stephen F is a great place to catch a view of the Texas State Capitol building and treat your four-legged best friend to a cool down while enjoying a dog-friendly, non-alcoholic pup-sicle.

Stephen F’s is located on the hotel’s second floor of the InterContinental hotel and offers happy hour pricing Sunday – Thursday from 4PM until 6PM. Valet parking is available for a fee.
