Get ready to treat mom safe at home with these four delicious recipes from the chefs
at San Antonio’s award-winning La Cantera Resort & Spa.

Until you can escape to La Cantera in person, you can still make mom feel like she’s vacationing in South Texas, where margaritas and Mexican cuisine are always in demand.
IRL, look forward to pampering her with treatments at the 25,000 square foot Loma de Vida Spa, lounging by the Topaz pool (named one of the most Instagram-worthy pools in the world) and dining at one of the award-winning resort’s nine restaurants.

Brisket Taquitos by Chef Abraham Proa
Chef de Cuisine, Primero Cantina

“My parents are from Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico. Every time I go to visit, I go to as many restaurants and eat as much as I can. One of my favorite places is about a block away from my parents’ house. The brisket taquitos they make until the early hours of the morning are crunchy, spicy and have lots of toppings. They inspired this recipe.”

Fiesta Corn Recipe by Chef Gio Silva
Chef de Cuisine, Grille 254

Goldfish Cheddar Mac and Cheese by Chef Robert Carr
Executive Chef

“Goldfish add a nice crunch to creamy macaroni and cheese, while a mild poblano pepper gives the dish an earthy richness without being too hot for the kids. If you don’t want to cook and dice the bacon, bacon bits will work.”

Champagne Margaritas by Chef Gabriela Hinojosa
Chef de Cuisine, SweetFire Kitchen

“Champagne Margaritas are so fresh and satisfying and easily adaptable with different fruit purees and garnishes!”
