Your summer bucket list just got longer! For unique tours of the Capital City, check out Austin Tour Company, a new company that offers unique walking and driving tours in and around the Austin area for individuals, private parties and groups.
Launched in May, Austin Tour Company has countless variations of tours, including an exciting partnership with Deep Eddy Vodka for a tour of their Dripping Springs distillery. The $20 per person includes round-trip transportation from the JW Marriott in downtown Austin, a complimentary cocktail and souvenir glass, distillery floor tour and a full history of their brand. Guests can also purchase crawfish and the fixings for $10 per pound.
For a more adventurous option, try the River Floats from Austin to San Marcos. The five-hour excursions cost $40 per person for round-trip transportation, river tube and one cooler tube per five people.
To learn how the Texas capital earned its slogan, reserve a spot on the “How Austin Got Weird” guided, historical walking tour. Austin prides itself on being just a bit outside the norm, and this tour aims to show guests not only how Austin got weird in the first place, but how it has stayed that way all these years. Tours run 90 minutes and cost $25 per person. From the historic sights of bustling downtown to stories about the unique history of the city, this tour is sure to show both residents and tourists Austin in its truest form.
The newest addition to Austin Tour Company’s line-up is “Bat Tuesdays” kicking of on July 14th! This adult style bat cruise on Lady Bird Lake is complete with a DJ and vendors offering samples, including Deep Eddy Vodka, The Austin Winery, Gibroni’s Texitalican Kitchen, Hey Cupcake! and Con Olios. At $25 per person, you’ll cruise the lake for two hours and see the bats from the water at sunset.
In addition to these specialty tours, Austin Tour Company offers custom tour planning including bachelor and bachelorette parties as well as both small and large corporate, nonprofit and social events. Last but certainly not least, they also offer VIP transportation and tailgate packages for seasonal special events such as Willie Nelson’s 4th of July Picnic.
“At Austin Tour Company, we are committed to showing the best that Austin has to offer,” says Nicole Jensen, director of operations at Austin Tour Company. “The tours are more than just a walk or drive through the city’s tourist spots or popular events, it’s an opportunity to experience the Austin lifestyle.”
