Miron Crosby boots fuse the authenticity of Texas with the fashionable creativity of New York City.

Growing up on their family’s cattle ranch in West Texas, sisters Lizzie Means Duplantis and Sarah Means were no strangers to cowboy boots. The duo often dreamed of designing their own line of boots fueled by a desire to bring authentic, fashionably chic, luxury cowboy boots to closets all over the world. However, life had other plans for the sisters, at least in the beginning.

The pair started successful careers in New York City where Duplantis worked for financial giants like Forbes and Goldman Sachs and Means hit her stride at fashion brand Loffler Randall

Surprised by the positive responses their cowboy boots garnered when wearing them out in the city that never sleeps, Duplantis and Means quickly recognized contemporary and authentic luxury cowboy boots were missing in the fashion marketplace. Thus, Miron Crosby was born.

Named for their great-grandfather Marion Otis Means, “Miron” is a play on his first name. Crosby came from the name of their family’s pasture, as well as the SoHo neighborhood in New York City. In 2017, the sisters threw caution to the wind, ditched their careers and dived boots first into their new venture.

With a combined eye for fashion and color, Duplantis and Means moved back to Texas and began designing quality handmade cowboy boots in their Highland Park Village studio in Dallas.

Their designs and custom one-of-a-kind creations are inspired by everything from art, travel, architecture, nature and photography to even more traditional, vintage western designs.

Miron Crosby boots are made exclusively by Rios of Mercedes, a Texas bootmaker with over 160 years of experience using quality heritage and natural leathers. The boots have a cult-like following among fashionistas and celebrities like Kacey Musgraves, Beth Behrs and Elizabeth Chambers Hammer

Duplantis and Means have no plans for designing any other types of footwear. They’re sticking with the traditional cowboy boot silhouette which brought so much joy to their childhood.
