It may feel early, but “the most wonderful time of the year” is here. Holiday market season is officially upon us, with many of the 29 Texas-based Junior League chapters hosting these festive events.
Many of the Texas chapters who represent the 124-year-old Association of Junior Leagues International host annual holiday market events as signature fundraisers, showcasing merchants from all over the country. The funds raised from these markets are invested back into Texas communities, fueling signature philanthropy programs and nonprofits statewide.
One of the largest Junior League holiday markets in the country is A Christmas Affair®, hosted by The Junior League of Austin (JLA). This year, the beloved Austin tradition is celebrating its Golden Year 50th anniversary. The event is Nov. 19–23, 2025, and will feature over 208 small- and mid-sized businesses. Each year, A Christmas Affair® draws more than 25,000 attendees and raises approximately $1 million for JLA, supporting signature programs like Coats for Kids (CFK), Food In Tummies (FIT), and Kids In Cool Shoes (KICS), as well as numerous local nonprofit partners.
