The circus just rolled into Grand Prairie, 13 miles west of downtown Dallas, and spring breakers can enjoy the show for free with admission to Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark

Now through March 23, the Epic Circus Spectacular will dazzle Epic Waters guests with acrobatics and death-defying performances under the blue big top, a short walk from the waterpark.

Epic Waters delivers summer splashes for spring break

It’s always a balmy 84 degrees inside Epic Waters, where real plants thrive and palm trees grow. So no matter the weather outside, it’s summer at the waterpark.

Kids can wear themselves out on 12 slides, a 650-foot lazy river, an activity pool, an interactive water play area, an arcade and a FlowRider surf simulator. Parents can play, too, or rent a cabana and sip a frozen margarita from Longboards bar.

Motorcycles and gravity wheel offer thrills for all ages

This spring break, Epic Waters guests can also enjoy complimentary access to special programming, including the Epic Circus Spectacular.

This hour-long circus, including a brief intermission, features some impressive family acts:

  • 11-year-old Santiago balancing on rolling cylinders
  • Aerialist Luis Hernandez on the Gravity Wheel
  • Jorgen and Logan Dominguez on motorcycles in the Sonic Sphere

Chairs under the big top surround the stage on three sides, and every seat is a good one. Kids can enjoy a family-friendly introduction to circus acts, so close they can see the artists’ sweat.

There are no animals, just impressive balancing, spinning acts and daring feats by human entertainers. The audience is encouraged to make a lot of noise, cheering them on.

With three shows a day during spring break, you might want to time your circus visit to soon after your arrival or before your departure time from the waterpark. You’ll be more comfortable watching the show in dry clothes. You do need to leave the waterpark and cross the parking lot to get to the big top tent.

Heidi Gollub has been to Epic Waters many times since it opened in 2018. Her kids love it and think it’s worth the three-hour drive from Austin. The Epic Circus Spectacular was a bit hit with her youngest when they visited a few weeks ago.
