“The firefly, an endearing flying beetle known for bioluminescent displays. This creature embodies how we want guests to feel when visiting us: carefree and as close to ethereal as it gets here on Earth.” – Firefly Resort team

… A Luxury RV and Tiny Home Resort, only a one-minute drive from the famous Luckenbach, Texas (where Willie and Waylon and the boys took root).

Fire Me Up at Firefly!

Firefly Resort, seemingly rising out of an open field near Fredericksburg. With its multiple tiers of 234 RV sites blended in among colorful tiny homes, this is a place to kick up your feet in the Texas Hill Country.

Not too far from some of the very best wineries, such as Pedernales Cellars, and very near Highway 290, the “Wine Road of Texas,” Firefly is perched in a perfect location to enjoy the surrounding area.

But you really don’t need to go wandering, as Firefly brings the entertainment to you. With live music and food trucks on the weekends, along with their resort style pool, this is an easy place to slow down and escape from our constant air of productivity.

One thing we love about the property is that each tiny home is different, varying styles and structures, featuring different outdoor amenities. For instance, some have a great outdoor space behind the home with a fire pit and barbecue area. Others have ornamental design, with actual landscaping. Because each of these tiny homes is owned by an actual owner who rents it out, they have their own style and character. However, what is similar to just about each tiny home is that they contain a small primary bedroom with en suite bathroom, a small living and kitchen area, a downstairs half bath, and an upstairs sleeping loft. The loft is only about 4 feet high, so just know whoever is sleeping up there needs to be prepared to crawl around.

Pets are welcome at Firefly and they even have a small dog park. There are golf carts for rent, but the property is really not so big as to need one.

Don’t forget to go stargazing, thanks to Firefly’s mission to reduce light pollution. Photo Courtesy Firefly Resort.

Once you get out to Firefly at night, you’ll see why they are part of the Dark Skies Initiative to reduce light pollution, so guests can soak up the big beautiful Texas sky. The property has also worked with Wildseed Farms nearby to create the Firefly Glow Initiative, an on-site wildflower restoration program.

Because Firefly is within the path of the April 8, 2024, total solar eclipse, it will be a prime location for viewing.

Leading up to the visit, Firefly sends nearly daily emails to rev up the guest’s excitement for the visit! One such was a link to a blog post about 4 Ways to Maximize Your Stay.

Trip Tips:

  • I’m calling it Firefly Lane, after my most favorite Netflix show. And, by the way, when I searched a Firefly playlist (I like to listen to a playlist for someplace I’m going ahead of the visit to connect me with the location), I was met with the Firefly album from the TV soundtrack, the Firefly Lane official playlist and even Firefly by Ed Sheeran. I do recommend them all to set the stage!
  • The Firefly Resort team is dedicated to creating magical experiences that go beyond its picturesque setting. From the warm welcome by a concierge team to the personalized guidance provided by the Resort Rangers, every detail is designed to ensure that every visit becomes a cherished memory. Whether it’s sipping wine with friends, gathering with family, or engaging in friendly competitions like cornhole, Firefly Resort is where the backdrop elevates those precious moments.
  • Guests will have access to a range of amenities, including a clubhouse with an outdoor kitchen and grill stations, an enhanced sound system, and a two-tiered infinity pool. The vacation experience is further elevated by providing guests with access to restrooms, private shower suites, and a state-of-the-art laundry facility. Families with children can enjoy the on-site playground.
  • Concierge services greet guests upon arrival, helping with RV setup, itinerary planning, and providing an overview of the area. Firefly Resort will host a variety of events on-site, including tastings from local vendors and live entertainment.
