The popular Texas homegrown jewelry line is roping in a new rodeo collection,
exclusively for Texas rodeo attendees.

The assortment of new, vintage and Western-inspired Kendra Scott styles was introduced earlier this year at the Fort Worth and San Antonio rodeos. Now, the exclusive line steers into Houston’s Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Pop-up shops are adding sparkle to the world’s largest livestock show. In beautiful turquoise stones, the rodeo collection also marks the return of one of my favorite Kendra Scott pieces, the Mariah earrings. Introduced in the spring 2015 collection, the Mariah earrings are a stone earring, outlined with pointed lines of gold and silver.

The one-of-a-kind pieces are a special treat for the loyal Texas fan base. Scott launched the line in 2002 from her spare bedroom in Austin, before opening more than 100 stores in dozens of states around the country. “Home is where the heart is, and our heart will always be in Texas,” said Scott. “As a Texas-founded brand, I loved designing our exclusive Texas Rodeo Collection because it was inspired by the strong, supportive community that has gotten my business to where we are today.”

In addition to unique jewelry, the Kendra Scott crew has several other surprises for Houston Rodeo fans. They are planning a Surprise Acts of Kindness Day. The date hasn’t been announced yet – but anyone attending the rodeo on that special night is in for some fun, including a special ticket upgrade for two rodeo-goers.

A photobooth decked out in yellow will also be set up March 5-11 inside the UNCORKED wine garden. A geode photo wall, complete with yellow cowboy hats, is sure to help capture some rodeo memories.

Along with exclusive rodeo jewelry pieces, the Kendra Scott Vending Machine will be on site. If you haven’t had the opportunity to try one, they are a fun way to treat yourself! If you spend $75 at the Kendra pop-up shop, for an additional $25, you can purchase a mystery piece of jewelry from the vending machine.

Of course, in true philanthropy and giving fashion, there is a charitable element to this rodeo fun. Every Saturday during the rodeo, 20% of all pop-up sales will go back to Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s education scholarship. The program consists of more than 800 scholarships, with more than $14 million awarded to thousands of students each year. Established in 1932, over the last nine decades, the rodeo has raised more than $500 million for Texas education.

The 2020 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo runs March 3-22 at NRG Park. General grounds admission tickets start at $15 for adults and $5 for children. Concert tickets start at $20, with this year’s lineup including Lizzo, Maren Morris, and Brad Paisley. Rodeo Houston tickets can be purchased online.
