With over 20 years in the entertainment industry, Centrell Reed knows a thing or two about talent.

After living in the Atlanta and Los Angeles areas, surrounded by beautiful and talented people who were not getting the onscreen or media opportunities they deserved, Reed decided she needed to make a difference and create those opportunities herself.

So, this energetic go-getter and problem solver opened CReed Global Media earlier this year in Houston to give clients the resources they need to move ahead in the entertainment industry. Her studio provides all the amenities for clients to create sizzle reels, videos, podcasts and even host events. After years of growing her brand and business in her home office, Reed realized she needed to expand, and Houston, with its international population and global appeal, was the perfect place to open a creative studio.

Reed is especially focused on women creatives striving to instill confidence and provide visibility to help women get ahead in the entertainment world. “Visibility is important, and more now than ever it’s essential to have a place where female creativity has a platform,” says the media founder.

We sat down with Reed to talk about her Texas Essentials.

“I always carry my special something of sentimental value with me when I leave home. I love wearing my Tiffany Nike necklace pendant, which I got after finishing the Nike Women’s Marathon, my first 1/2 marathon in San Francisco, and which benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The pendant is a symbol of strength and my dedication to helping those diagnosed with leukemia and lymphoma. My cousin Leandra Paisant passed away from leukemia at the age of 16, and I ran to raise money in her name. The pendant carries so much love and memories of her and how strong she was to her last moments.”

“I also love wearing my gold banded necklace and earrings, two of the many gifts my godmother gave me when she was living. Her gifts were always fancy and way ahead of my age. When I wear them, I am reminded to be fun, a head-turner, and limitless just as she was.”

“In addition to my fancy memory-filled jewelry, I must have my JaPre’ lipstick or gloss to keep my lips moist and bright with a touch of color to compliment my daily looks.”
